“Instead of worrying about money all the time, its nice to actually enjoy it.”
I’m about a month removed from my trip to the Super Bowl 53 and can’t express enough how fortunate I feel to be able to experience something like that.
As a life long sports fan growing up in Massachusetts, it certainly was a bucket list event. Definitely a luxury, but in the end, worth it. Even more so as I got to surprise a friend with a great experience as well.
That’s not to say it wasn’t the result of a ton of hard work. As a self-employed small business owner, I traded a ton of time for money over the years. Something many people experience, whether they are self-employed or are juggling the responsibilities and time commitment of their job, while trying to pursue other life opportunities.
I’m certainly thankful for the multiple streams of income I’ve been able to produce, that allow me to enjoy things I would not have been able to otherwise.
Many of those streams come from real estate and have taken decades of nurturing to produce a solid cash flow.
Others are fairly recent, and are the ones that truly enable me to pursue opportunities that I would have previously viewed as wasteful or over the top. Instead of worrying about money all the time, I’m actually able to enjoy it.
Unfortunately, too many people are stuck in an endless cycle of trading time for money, which is a place where wealth cannot be built. They either haven’t been taught or just lack the support and encouragement to pursue greater things.
Thankfully, we do now live in a time where entrepreneurship is growing. Digital marketing and advertising, and the huge potential of social media has helped so many reach their audience.
I hope everyone can find something they are passionate about. Something that they can pursue to add value to other peoples lives, while providing financial stability for themselves.
When you do, the tools are certainly available to help you turn that passion into reality. When in doubt, just take a look at others who already have. To paraphrase a favorite quote of mine from Tony Robbins, we need to model what works, and let go of everything else.
It make take some time to get where you want to be. Be patient, but always take action. Don’t get frustrated, but be proud that you are moving in the direction of your goals.
Just don’t stop moving. Then you are STUCK for good.
